Strong in Spirit

I’m strong in spirit!

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.

One of my favorite verses because it reminds me of the importance of joy, being cheerful, enthusiastic, and having a positive perspective. I value working out and taking care of my health. But more important than lifting weights and my nutrition is what to do to take care of my spirit. My spiritual health is the foundation to everything else I do. It enables me to stand strong in confidence because I know the ONE ☝🏼🙏🏼 who’s JOY is my strength.

When I look at this picture of me worshiping God through dance,  I see strength, I see joy... I see the Joy of the Lord is my strength. I know I share a lot about working out, being physically healthy, strong and energized, but this is the foundation of it all... my spiritual health. The stronger I am spiritually, the stronger I am physically. It’s life to me. I have been known to pray while I plank! Ha ha. To some it may seem a little weird, but that’s okay it’s just how God made me. Maybe he gave you a beautiful voice, the ability to play an instrument, maybe you’re an artist, or you’re a contractor and you build things, maybe you’re a teacher, maybe your a doctor or a nurse, a coach, or a checker at a grocery store... whatever it is?

There is something you do that makes you come alive. It’s not just a job, but something you do that blesses other people just because you’re being faithful in doing and using what God has given you. God loves us so much, he is patient, faithful and good. He will get us where we need to be.

Stay faithful my friends, use what you’ve been given. You’ll be blessed and more importantly, be a blessing.
