Ninja Creami Review + Strawberry Yogurt Recipe

I don’t know about y’all, but I’ve seen the Ninja Creami EVERYWHERE. Over the last couple months it started popping up on my Instagram feed, TikTok… And finally last week, I gave in and got one myself.

We’ve only tested two recipes with the creami but I must say…

I’m sold. I love it!

Here’s the link of the Creami I bought.

I got the XL version and I really like how many settings it has.

How I made this chocolate covered strawberry fro-yo

Ingredients:

Whole milk plain greek yogurt (I used this Grass-Fed one from Maple Hill). About 2.5-3 cups.

Frozen strawberries, about a cup

Vanilla bean paste (vanilla extract works here too!)

Stevia, I used 5 packets. More or less to taste.

Honey, about 1 tbsp

Lily’s milk chocolate chips, 1/4 cup melted (these have no added sugar- they’re sweetened with stevia!)

Note, I didn’t follow an exact recipe, this recipe is super forgiving! Don’t be afraid to test the base as you’re making it and make tweaks according to your preferences!

Directions:

  1. To a blender, add all ingredients besides chocolate chips. Blend until well combined.

  2. Pour into Creami container and throw into the freezer. I froze mine for 24 hours. I know it can be hard to wait ;) But as long as the base is completely frozen, you’ll be good. (You could probably throw it in the freezer first thing in the am then blend at night.)

  3. Once base is frozen, pop it into the Creami and set to “frozen yogurt.” After you blend it the initial time, you may need to add some almond milk (or other milk of choice) to loosen it up then mix one more time.

  4. Once combined and creamy, add your cooled, melted chocolate chips directly to the fro-yo. Set Creami to “mix in” setting and watch it turn the melted chocolate into delicious little flecks of chocolate!

  5. ENJOY!

NOTE: The fro-yo does freeze again. When I enjoyed some a few days after making it, you have to let it sit on the counter for at least 20ish minutes to be able to scoop it. It gets pretty hard! I’m sure if you wanted to, you could also “respin” it in the Creami. I haven’t tried it before, but I’m sure that would work if you wanted that fro-yo consistency. Let me know if you try it!
