Pray & Proceed

Something to think about... Often we choose the convenient and comfortable. Many times, it’s a whole lot easier to choose what’s convenient and what’s right in front of us, or what is most familiar to us, rather than pressing ahead to the new that God has for us. We’ve all been there. We want to change and take a leap of faith, but it just requires too much. Too much courage, too much time, too much energy. We don’t feel ready to make sacrifices to get us to the next level. Maybe it’s your health goals; you want to eat healthier, and live an active lifestyle, but you’re tired when you get home from work and find yourself tied up with cleaning and preparing dinner. Or maybe you feel like there’s just too much to do around the house and there’s no time to achieve your health goals. Maybe you’re in a relationship or a friendship that you know isn’t good for you; it’s robbing you mentally, emotionally and spiritually… But it’s what you’ve always known. Whatever it may be, and wherever you are at, I want to remind you: we grow when we are challenged. There is something powerful and beautiful about making a sacrifice when it’s the hardest, when it feels most inconvenient. When you find yourself at a crossroads, between wanting to change and feeling stuck, ask yourself: What small steps can I make right now to get me closer to my goals? Maybe it’s going on a 10 minute walk after work instead of sitting on the couch, or eating one more serving of vegetables rather than going for dessert, or reading one scripture from the Bible instead of watching TV. As you make small sacrifices, you’ll find that the big sacrifices get a whole lot easier. The small choices and sacrifices will keep you moving forward, it will keep you growing and out of the comfort of convenience. So ask yourself, “In what area of my life am I settling? Where do I need to step out of my comfort zone?” Whatever your answer may be, I want to encourage you to step out in  faith & obedience! Take a leap of faith and believe that you will get where you're supposed to be! I promise you will. Pray & proceed ahead my friends! You can do this.

I’m Cheering YOU On!
