Renee’s Go-To Chili Recipe
1 lb ground turkey or chicken
1 onion, chopped
1 yellow or orange bell pepper, chopped
2 Tbsp chili seasoning
Salt/Pepper to taste
2, 12 oz cans fire roasted tomatoes
1 cup chicken broth (or water)
1 can great northern beans, drained/rinsed
1-2 Tbsp red pepper jelly
3 whole cloves
2 bay leaves
Directions
Brown the meat in a pot over medium heat with the chopped onion and pepper, add salt/pepper to taste
Add chili seasoning once browned.
Add fire roasted tomatoes, chicken broth or water, drained beans, red pepper jelly, cloves, and basil leaves. Stir to combine.
Cover pot with lid and simmer on low/medium for 45 minutes or so.
Remove cloves and bay leaves and ENJOY!
